Scholarship

          i. Academic record  

         ii. Age (preference is given to 11 YO class and older) 

        iii. A desire of a student and their families to become involved in school life   outside of the classroom  

        iv. Parents of scholarship students will be expected to support the school and be an active participant in their child’s educational endeavors.

        iv. Financial need

         v.  A child’s interests and strengths in the areas of sports, arts and/or culture

1.    Applications for scholarship should be submitted to the School Administration along with any supporting documentation that the applicants wish to submit. The application period is April 4 – April 29.

2.    Assessments in English language and Mathematics will be arranged at the school and short interviews may be conducted by the Director and/or the Director of Instruction at that time.

3.      The Director will then present applications, test results, and her/his recommendations to the QSI International School of Astana Advisory Board which may invite applicants for an additional interview. The Board will make its decisions and the School Administration will notify the candidates by May 13

4.    The families that received scholarships will sign agreements regarding scholarship guidelines.  

The Advisory Board is responsible for determining individual scholarship amounts, to be awarded at between 10-95% of published tuition, based on their discretion and evaluation of all applicant criteria.  

The decision to renew or revoke a scholarship is also made by the Advisory Board based on the recommendations from the School Administration on the attendance, academic and behavioral performance of scholarship students.
